is there a way to do this?

do i need to use my lead from the record output on my mixer and link it to an input on the audio8 somewhere?

is there a audio set up option for this?

How do I set the LED back to normal?

Another problem im having lately is that the audio goes off suddendly for no apparent reason, then whatever music program I was using freezes. In my case I use Winamp, so it freezes, I close it, but then I look in the task manager and "winamp.exe" is still there. Tried KillProcess and it's still there. Another odd thing I notice when this happens is I can't open the Control Panel (using Win XP). I also tried to unplug and plug again the AK1 but there is still no sound and everything sound-related is still blocked, so the only solution I have is rebooting. (this has been happening before I updated the AK1 drivers so it's not due the new drivers being installed).

The problem is i cant edit samples from "Ethno world 4 pro" library because all the .wav samples are put into .nkx files.

So when i choose sample editor in wave editor section in Kontakt, it is written "file is inside a monolith or otherwise inaccessible" and no actions (cut, reverse, etc.) are allowed.

Are there any ways to solve this, or just authors of a library prohibited sample editing for purpose?

I recently got myself the Sax & Brass Soundpack via the Komplete 7 Elements Voucher, but after I installed it the Kore Player does not show the pack or any of the sounds.... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the player and the pack several times over but it wouldn't do any good. Seemingly the Kore 2 Player doesn't change anything about it's database 'cause it actually does show some old soundpacks I had uninstalled trying to fix the problem.

So it shows some packs that aren't there and does not show my new one...

My Setup

DDM4000 \ kontrol x1 \ audio2dj \ traktor PRO (not TSP, just TP!) \ MacBPro 2.53ghz

I now am thinking of buying a NDX 800 so that i can have more control on Traktor, and was thinking of pluggin'it directly to my MAC through USB (so not thinking of using it with timecodes - no audio 8 and not really thinking of buying it for now). With a good TSI file, or with some work of my own, i want the NDX800 to control all decks with the flick of a switch, which i know is possible. someone else has done it.


Does this make any sense or will the idea not work ? cause i heard someone saying that the NDX800 works with TSP but not TP... ? is this true ?

anyone with a similar setup or thinking of using the NDX800 to control all decks on traktor and anyone aware of it not working with TP ?

It is very easy to use, but you could take it to an extreme and do some deep analysis.

I recorded a Bosendorfer note played in Kontakt and loaded the wave file into praat.

I checked the option to display the formants and this is what I get.

You can click on the formant graph to display the frequency and amplitude of any point.

There are many options that could be used to refine this, but this is an easy first start into playing with modal banks.

Maybe we can use this thread to share our experiences and tips using Praat.

To choose what tags use (file or playlist), well, last day i choose file and then put check on the box "Do Not Show This Again" so that window will not appear again while i was transfer some playlist from T3; but now i want to change so i want that window (Importing Playlist) appears again! I have TSP / Audio 8 DJ/ pair of CDJ 1000'S and want to use the hotcue function with the X1 for starting my track:

Normally this is my way to start a track on a CDJ without TSP .
(cue track / record hotcue / hit hotcue and track starts!)

Now i want to do the same with my X1 but it doesn't start, i found out that X1 is not getting any timecode signal when cue'd on CDJ that why it doesn't start i assume.

But is there any setting/update in TSP / Audio 8 to fix this..
